Summer exhibitions open June 1st
The Reykjanes Art Museum celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and the summer exhibitions will be dedicated to that occasion. In three halls the exhibitions will constitute of art works from the museum's collection most of which have come to its possession in the last 15 year.
The Heritage Museum of Reykjanesbær celebrates its 40th anniversary later this year. The Local History Museum's summer exhibition is called "Listening to the sea" and is about the close relationship between sailors of the rowboat period and the sacrifices they had to make for achieving the gold of the sea which was important for their life expectancy.
The opening starts at 6 pm and is open to all.
