Interloper

The artist Snorri Ásmundsson is an interloper. He has attracted a lot of attention since the late nineties with his performance pieces.

Snorri invites himself to the arena of politics, religion, self-help industry, geniuses and the sacred arena of the Queen of the Mountains, the personification of the Icelandic nation.

The artist‘s performances have been controversial and there have often been conflicts surrounding his work.

The exhibition is a retrospective but at the same time it is also biographical, where Snorri Ásmundsson is the most grandiose living work of art in Icelandic art history.
