Icelandic Nature – landscape artworks from the collection of Reykjanes Art Museum
The exhibition Icelandic Nature are landscape artworks from the collection of Reykjanes Art Museum.
The artworks are made by 16 artist from various times. They all show Icelandic nature and are made from materials such as oil, clay and textile. The oldest work is made in 1906 by Þórarinn B. Þorláksson and the youngest one is made in 2008 by Sigtryggur Bjarni Baldvinsson. Other artists participating in the exhibition are Arngunnur Ýr, Ása Ólafsdóttir, Ásgrímur Jónsson, Eggert Guðmundsson, Eiríkur Smith, Guðmundur Karl Ásbjörnsson, Húbert Nói, Jóhannes Geir, Jóhannes Kjarval, Jón Stefánsson, Ólafur Túbals, Sigmar V. Vilhelmsson and Steinunn Marteinsdóttir. The exhibition will be on display in the Movie Hall in Duus Museum until april.
