Hour of the Wolf

„The hour between night and dawn. The hour when most people die, when sleep is deepest, when nightmares are most real. It is the hour when the sleepless are haunted be their deepest fears, when ghosts and demons are most powerful, the hour of the wolf is also the hour when mist children are born. "

These words of the Swedish film director Ingmar Bergmann are the inspiration to the sisters Sara and Svanhildur Vilbergsdóttir's latest exhibition Hour of the Wolf which is now on display in Reykjanes Art Museum.

The sisters are known for colorful paintings that they paint together. The paintings tell many stories, both of this world and others .  The exhibition displays 20 oil paintings, most of them are new and have not been seen before.

The Hour of the Wolf will be on display until April 23rd and a guided tour will be held by the sisters March 12th at 3 pm. Curator is Aðalsteinn Ingólfsson.
