Listasmiðja Heimskvenna/Art Workshop with Women of the World

Last year, the Library received a grant from the Ministry of Welfare to set up an Art Exhibition with Women of the World on Ljósanótt 2019.

Gillian Pokalo will  assist with the project, but she is an American artist who has for the last years offered a silkscreening workshop at the Library.

Gillian is coming to Iceland at the end of March and will oversee two workshops where Heimskonur will work on their art pieces. They will be exhibited in September in our exhibition space in Bókasafn Reykjanesbæjar. Before that, the group  will meet once to discuss ideas and prepare for the workshops.
