New entrance fee at Duus Museum

Changes have been made to the museum‘s entrance fee. From January 1st the entrance fee is 1000 ISK for adults and free entrance for children under 18, students, disabled and seniors (67+).

One year in Suðurnes - see the winning photos!

The photography exhibition “One year in Suðurnes” is the result of a competition held by the Reykjanes Art Museum. Everyone was invited to participate. The photographers, both professional and amateur, were to submit photographs of people or nature in Suðurnes taken between the 17th of June 2017 and the 17th of June 2018.

Duus Museum will be closed Oct 24th due to the Women's Day Off! Forty-one year ago, the women of Iceland went on strike - they refused to work, cook and look after children for a day. It was a moment that changed the way women were seen in the country and helped put Iceland at the forefront of the fight for equality.

Duusgata will be closed due to constructions at the roundabout (Duustorg) Oct 17th and Oct 18th. Driving visitors to the museum can drive down road Grófin and park at the parking lot by the main entrance.

A new entrance under construction

A new entrance to the museum is now under construction which we are very excited about. While the entrance is under construction you can enter the museum through the Tourist Information in the other end of the building.
